CREATIVE CODING – 9a-12p daily
Taught by Dane Webster, Associate Professor, Director of the Digital Animation Center
Software is everywhere. We use it to communicate through texts, tweets and we share our lives by way of Facebook and Instagram. Increasingly, artists and designers are starting to use the language of software and coding as their primary tool of creation. Writing code gives creators access to the primitive building blocks of computer graphics, and allows them to produce new tools and forms of expression that would not be possible with commercial applications.
This course will serve as a basic introduction to Processing as a creative tool for those entering the world of code for the first time.
